Welcome to Wincrest Brittanys homepage, Barb and Tim Dayton. Barb started
in dogs through the 4-H program and later into AKC shows. My first dog
was a Cocker Spaniel named Penny. We did 4-H and Juniorshowmanship and
together, we won many awards, including a perfect score of 200. I felt
I needed a more competitive dog for Junior Showmanship, and found a
program where breeders placed dogs with Juniors. Wendy's Sugar And Spice,
CD, arrived in Indiana on New Years Eve, 1972 from Bob and Joann Reimers
of Yuba City California. Wendy and I garnered some nice 4-H and AKC
wins and Wendy was the foundation for the Wincrest Brittanys. I finished
my first Champion in 1977. Ch Ffynant's M'Lord Benjamin, CD. Benji's
lines are still in the Wincrest lines, but far back.I have bred or co bred over 30 Champions and have put championships on over 30 Brittanys. I mainly show my own dogs or dogs that I have bred or co own. I have been very selective about breeding litters and only have bred when I wanted a dog for myself. I have bred and/or owned a #1 Brittany, Top 10 Brittanys, National Summer Specialty BOB and BOS, National AOM winners, Group Winners, Group Placers and Futurity Winners.
In 2004, my life changed. I met my husband, Tim Dayton. We got married
in 2007 and Tim is wonderful to go to the shows with me and is great
to hold dogs for me at ringside. He has a love for the dogs, as I do,
and is there to cheer myself and our friends on at shows. Our family
expanded in August 2007 with the addition of our first dog together,
Ray. Ray is a pug and japanese mix and he is the light of our lives!
Our first Brittany together arrived in March 2008, Ch Wincrest Copley
Cando One Grand Love. Ida is Tim's first showdog and champion. We intended
Ida to be our last show dog, but in November 2010 we added Ida's half
sister Cuddles (Wincrest Labryinth Kiss My Lipstick) to our family.
Our little doggie family is complete now and we enjoy or dogs so very
much. I owe thanks to the many people along the way who have helped me in the dog show world. Bob and Joann Reimers, Liz and Horace Temple, Dave and Cathy Rigoulot, Nancy and Donnell Harris, Bev and Michelle Millette, Polly West, Nickie Manifold, Tobi Adams and Karen Hanson. I could not have gotten to where I am with out you! A very special Thanks to Robin Tomasi, who is like a daughter to Tim and I, and who co owns and breeds with me. You have been wonderful to us, and together, we have bred some fantastic dogs! Our dogs are like our children, we love and spoil them rotten. We love them, win or lose. The are our four legged Children. They run our lives and own us, and in turn, give us such unconditional love. Hope you enjoy looking at our webpage and see some of the dogs of my past and present and dogs we have loved so much, but had to say goodbye to..
