Welcome to the webhome of Wincrest Brittanys. My interest in dogs began with the 4-H program and eventually I ventured into AKC obedience shows and Junior Showmanship. My first Brittany came from Bob and Joann Reimers of California through the Junior Showmanship Puppy Placement Program. This program was one where breeders would place dogs with Junior Handlers. Wendy's Sugar and Spice arrived in Indiana on New Years Eve 1972. Wendy taught me alot about showing and later became the foundation for Wincrest Brittanys. Wendy produced me 9 Champions, one of them was a Top 5 showdog. I finished my first Champion in 1977, Ch Ffynant's M'Lord Benjamin, CD. Benji's line is still in my dogs today, although way far back. I was hooked on dogs by the time I finished Benji.

I have bred 10 litters in my career, as you can tell, I don't breed very often. I have only bred when I wanted a puppy for myself. I have strived to breed good quality Brittanys and I only breed OFA stock and only breed dogs of sound structure and temperment. I have bred 23 Champions and of those 23, one was a #1 Ranked Brittany and 4 were ranked in Top 10 Brittanys. I have finished championships on close to 30 Brittanys and 2 Keeshonds. I have chose to only show Brittanys of the quality I would want for my own and mainly have shown for Sanbar Kennels. I enjoy showing dogs and due to dog limitation laws where I live, I can only have 4 dogs of my own. It has been fun to show for others and it has kept me in the show ring when I did not have a dog of my own to show.

My dogs are like my children. They are spoiled rotten and run my life and I choose to allow them to! I love them very much and they have been there for me when no one else was and they have licked away many tears. I am very proud of my dogs and their show accomplishments but more importantly, I love my dogs every day, not just on days they do well in shows.

2008 NEWS! Mollie Marie whelped 8 healthy puppies on 1/30/08. There are 5 girls & 3 boys. All puppies are spoken for. Becka finished her TD Marti went Best of Breed at La Porte Kennel Club & made the cut in group Champ finished his championship at Kokomo Kennel Club Ida went Best Puppy In Match Ida picked up her first point Ida was winners bitch at Marion Kennel Club Ida won her first major - WB/BOW/BOS Central Ohio Kennel Club 3 point major
